Thursday

Abeka (Spelling/Reading/Phonics)

• Lesson 6 in Curriculum Guide for Reading Only
• Language 1 Book p. 6 & 7
• Lesson 7  in Curriculum Guide
• Instruction on Phonics/Reading/Spelling/etc for the lesson, with workbook pages listed in Curriculum Guide for each lesson.

Handwriting

• Do page 14 in your workbook.  Take your time and do your very best!
  
   

Grammar

• Do lesson 6 with your parents.
• Be sure to review the poem, "The Caterpillar" from lesson 2.

 Spanish

• Go over the greeting that was assigned to you!
•  Listen to song #4 The numbers of the songs were jumbled!! I will work on figuring out which song ended up being which number!

 

Math

• You will be find pairs that make up 7, 8, 9 , 10.  
• Parents, go over Textbook p. 21-23 with your child.
• Do workbook pages 16-17

Science

•  

History

• Read pages 18-20 in your book
• Answer these questions for your parents:
• Did the Egyptians worship one god or many gods?
• Can you name any of them?
• Many people in the world have different religions.  How does the Egyptians' religion differ from yours?
• Do you remember Osiris' evil brother's name?
• How did Set get Osiris to lie down in the coffin?
• Did Osiris stay dead? 

Music

• If you are in music class, practice "Learning Middle C" 10 times every day!

• Parents, go over textbook page 24 with your child.

• Extra Practice, Unit 2 pp 9-12

History

• Show your parents the map that we colored in class.
• Show them where the Nile River is. 
• Show them the delta.  Do you remember what a "delta" is?
• Explain to your parents Upper and Lower Egypt.

• Cumulative Test Units 1-2, A and B, pp 11-16

  History

• Read Chapter 3 on pages 21-24.
• Print this map.
• Find Egypt on your ap and shade it lightly in red.  Remember, the White Crown King united Egypt into one country.  He wore the red crown over his own white crown.
• Find the Nile River.  Trace it in Blue. Many people in Egypt lived along the Nile River and near the Nile Delta.
• Find Sumer and shade it lightly green.  Egypt and Sumer are the two countries where people first learned to write.
