  • Lesson 47
  • Study your grammar cards. (Someone left a few grammar cards sitting on the table.  If you are missing some, here is a link to the printout.)
  • You only have to study the part 1 of the pronoun list!!

 

 

Science

  • Create a diagram or a model of a plant using the four organs of a plant that you learned in class: flower, stem, leaves, and roots.  Bring it in when you come back to class!  Do your best and get creative!

 

Math

  • We have been learning about shapes and patterns.  For those of you who did not finish the pages of shapes and patterns last week, you may want to go back and review them and be sure that the kids know the material. I would look at the following pages toward the beginning of the school day, and complete the test pages after working on a different subject.  The answers to the test are in the back of the book.  Use this as a guide to see what topics need extra help!

    • Did Athens think fighting was the most important thing for boys to learn?
    • What happens to ignorant people who don't know the laws?

Tuesday

    • In class tomorrow, we will review spelling list #11. This is the list that you began at home on Thursday of last week, so we will be playing a review game with it in prep for their at home assessment.

 

Handwriting

  • Choose a border sheet from the back of your handwriting book.  Either tear it out or make a copy of it.  Take the Bible verse from Lesson 8, Day 4, and copy it very carefully onto the border sheet.  Color it and bring it to class tomorrow!  This is like your weekly handwriting quiz, so do your very best!

  

Grammar

Writing

    • Were they polytheists?
    • Does a polytheist believe in one god or many gods?
    • Why did Zeus start a war on earth?
    • Can you name any of the other gods from the story?

 

Math

  • Extra Practice book pages 81-82
  • Test pages 105-108

 


Science

  • Bring in your plant diagram tomorrow!
  • Read Chapter 5
  • On the next page in experiment 4 in the lab book students should draw pictures of our flowers after the second week. 
  • Plant A: receiving sunlight and water. 
  • Plant B: receiving no sunlight or water.
