Check out this great site full of turkey information!

Here is the website that I told you about in class.  It has info and pictures of each different type of domestic turkey.

Farm Fusion Workshop 1 / Week 3 (Goats)

For this week's writing assignment, I want you to think about the story that we read about the Angora goat, Geraldine, and how his Navajo friend wove his mohair into a beautiful rug.  You have two choices for this assignment:

Choice #1 - Tell us what you liked best about the book and why.
Choice #2 - Come up with you own story!  This time, make it narrated by a dairy goat!

  • Visit this site to learn more about the food groups!  Click and learn!
  • Here are some Nutrition Games for you to play!
  • Color your worksheet on the Food Guide Pyramid.  The Fats and Oils group is the smallest group, which will be yellow.

We hand-milk our goats, but most people with lots of goats use milking machines.  Here is a video that shows how a large dairy goat farm operates!
