Farm Fusion Workshop 1 / Week 4 (Goats)

Writing Assignment

Choose one!
  • Think about the story of the Grumpy Goat.  Write about a time when you were in a bad mood.  What cheered you up?
  • Write advice for someone who is grumpy.  What should they do?  Explain!
  • Do you remember how the other farm animals forgave the Grumpy Goat, and helped him when he was sad?  Write about how important it is to forgive others.  You can give an example if you'd like!

Finish any of the goat pages that are in your notebook.  We will finish up our goat lesson on Wednesday!

I am very proud of ALL OF YOU for your hard work with the writing assignments!  Keep doing your best!

Now, remember those "babies" that you played with today?  Here is them in this video when they were just a few weeks old!

Farm Fusion Workshop 1 / Week 3 (Goats)

For this week's writing assignment, I want you to think about the story that we read about the Angora goat, Geraldine, and how his Navajo friend wove his mohair into a beautiful rug.  You have two choices for this assignment:

Choice #1 - Tell us what you liked best about the book and why.
Choice #2 - Come up with you own story!  This time, make it narrated by a dairy goat!

  • Visit this site to learn more about the food groups!  Click and learn!
  • Here are some Nutrition Games for you to play!
  • Color your worksheet on the Food Guide Pyramid.  The Fats and Oils group is the smallest group, which will be yellow.

We hand-milk our goats, but most people with lots of goats use milking machines.  Here is a video that shows how a large dairy goat farm operates!
